Emergency and First Aid Procedures

  • Skin: When necessary, garments for protection against hot materials should be used to prevent contact with molten Polypropylene.
  • Eyes: Wear Chemical safety goggles to prevent eye contact. A face shield should be used when appropriate to prevent contact with molten polypropylene.
  • Ventilation: Local exhaust ventilation should be used to control the emission of air contaminants.
  • Other Protective Equipment: Emergency eye wash stations should be available in the work area. General dilution ventilation may assist with the reduction of air contamination concentrations.
  • Special Precautions to be taken in Handling and Storage: Avoid excessive breathing of vapor fumes. Or smoke which may be released during thermal processing. Store in a cool, dry area.
