Physical Data
If this product exists as a pellet the above hazardous ingredients are encapsulated and pose no significant threat to human health or the environment. In any other physical state, potential for exposure exists. Grinding and chipping will change the physical sate of the product.
Hazards Identification
Primary routes of entry are ingestion of pellets and inhalation of dust. Ingestion is a low health risk because any potentially hazardous components are encapsulated. Inhalation of dust is a possibility in a regrind area. Potential for exposure exceeding the PEL exists. If adequate ventilation is not available in grinding areas, respiratory protection is recommended for hazardous and /or nuisance dust.
First Aid Measures
The most probable injury associated with this product is thermal burns during processing. Hot plastic can stick to skin. This can aggravate burns. If a burn occurs cool the area a rapidly as possible. Use cool water, not ice. If plastic is stuck to skin, do not remove it. Seek medical attention. If dust should get in eyes use available eye wash and get medical attention. If excess dust is inhaled, get medical attention. If pellets are ingested, do not induce vomiting, seed medical help.
Fire Fighting Measures
Flash point of the material is over 400°F. If a fire should occur, toxic fumes and gases may be emitted. Wear self-contaminated breathing apparatus when fighting a fire. Carbon monoxide and other toxic substances may be in the air. Fire or explosion can occur from dust build-up.
Accidental Release Measures
This product, as it is shipped to customers, is non-hazardous. If a spill should occur, sweep the material into proper containers and reuse or dispose of according to federal, state, and local regulations. If product is spilled in open environment it can float into waterways, fish and other wildlife and may mistake it for food.
Handling and Storage
This product is normally shipped in gaylord boxes. These boxes should not be stored more than three high. This boxes and plastic materials will burn in the presence of open flame. Do not weld or use open flame where product is stored without proper fire fighting prevention procedures.
Physical and Chemical Properties
This product is a solid pellet with a VOC content of less than 5 parts per million. Density will vary depending on color and components from .05 to 1.5. Therefore, the product can sink or float in water depending on the properties. The product is not soluble in water and is odorless at ambient temperature. During heating a characteristic plastic odor will be present. Localized ventilation is recommended.
Stability and Reactivity
This product is stable and non-reactive. Hazardous decomposition of products can occur if overheated or ignited.

Disposal Measures
This product is non-hazardous as it arrives. If grinding occurs, some of the encapsulated components may present an environmental disposal problem. Refer to applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Transpiration Information
This product is not a regulated substance under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. All hazardous components, if any, are encapsulated.
